Are you getting excited about the Coronation of King Charles III? At Casa Lucia, we think this ‘once in a lifetime’ event is well worth celebration and have decided to run a special event on Saturday 6th May. In true British style, there will be savoury Coronation dishes, (the original ‘Coronation Chicken’ designed for Queen Elizabeth II’s own banquet, back in 1953) and the new Coronation Quiche, a savoury tart designed by King Charles with the intention of it being served at street and house parties across the country on May 6th!
There will also be ‘afternoon tea’, with sandwiches, scones, Victoria sponge, (also named for and served at the Coronation of Queen Victoria) and fruit cake. And of course, lots of fizz to raise a glass or two to celebrate!
